The Chicago White Sox signed veteran utilityman Mark Kotsay to a one-year, $1.5 million contract on Thursday.

Kotsay, 33, has played for six teams throughout his 13-year career, totaling 113 home runs and 632 RBI to go with a .281 career average. He has also played for Florida, San Diego, Oakland and Atlanta.
