CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A federal grand jury in Chattanooga has indicted a former Moore County school board chairman on child pornography charges.
Forty-four-year-old David Camp of Lynchburg is being held without bond and was arraigned Tuesday on charges of distributing and possessing child pornography. He was Moore County's school board chairman from October 2005 until September 2008.
Camp's attorney, Brandon Raulston of Chattanooga, has declined comment.
Court records show Camp admitted being involved in child pornography for five years and also claimed he was involved in sexual activity with a 9-year-old girl.
Camp's wife has said she was not aware of any of the activities.
A federal agent has said Camp asked investigators to shoot him dead when he was arrested July 2.
