PULASKI, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Pulaski say a student was wounded when a gunman started firing inside an apartment building on a college campus.
According to Pulaski Police Chief John Dickey, a man went inside a residential building at Martin Methodist College around 10:00 p.m. Sunday and shot one person in front of several witnesses.
Grant Vosburgh, spokesman for the college about 70 miles south of Nashville, said the student was treated at a local hospital and released. Classes resumed Monday morning.
Dickey said as of Monday morning they were still searching for the gunman and have not determined whether he is a student at the college.
Martin Methodist has 1,000 students and is affiliated with the Tennessee Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
