CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A former Moore County school board chairman who pleaded with investigators to shoot him dead when they arrested him on child pornography charges has pleaded guilty in federal court.
In a deal with prosecutors in Chattanooga, 44-year-old David Camp of Lynchburg changed his plea Monday. He remains in custody and faces sentencing Jan. 4.
Camp pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. He was also charged with distributing child porn.
Camp was Moore County's school board chairman from October 2005 until September 2008.
Defense attorney Brandon Raulston did not return telephone messages seeking comment.
A federal agent has said Camp asked to be shot dead when he was arrested July 2.
Camp's wife told agents she was not aware of any of the activities.
