The following is a news release issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation:Huntingdon, TN -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a man and a woman involved in an abusive sex operation after they were indicted by the Carroll County Grand Jury on numerous counts of Rape.
John Marcus Burns, 48, from Lavinio, TN was charged with 10 counts of Statutory Rape, 5 counts of Rape, 4 counts of Aggravated Rape, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, 1 count of Trafficking for Sexual Servitude and 1 count of Evading Arrest. The charges stem from one victim who was repeatedly abused in 2008. Burns was booked into the Henry County Jail on $200,000 bond.
He has also violated his parole.
Burns’ girlfriend, Lindsey Marie Tutor, 26, of Lexington, TN was also involved in abusing the victim with Burns. She was charged with 6 counts of Statutory Rape, 6 counts of Rape and 4 counts of Aggravated Rape. Tutor was booked into the Carroll County Jail on $150,000 bond. Both are expected to appear in Carroll County Circuit Court on January 12, 2009.
