OLIVE BRACH, MS – Olive Branch police say a 19 year-old was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head inside a home.

It happened in the 10000 bock of DeSoto Road, Monday, June 8, 2009, around 9:25 p.m.

According to investigators, when officers arrived at the scene, they found 19 year-old Justin Cordarrel Brown dead. Detectives say he had been shot in the head.

Witnesses told investigators that Brown and another man, 56 year-old Cornelius Swopshire, had been arguing at the house earlier that day. The witnesses say Swopshire left, but then returned that night. The two began to argue again inside the home when Swopshire pulled a gun and shot Brown, the witnesses said.

Olive Branch police say Cornelius Swopshire has been charged with Homicide and is being held at the DeSoto County Jail on $1 million bond.
