FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Fayetteville police say a man they arrested for allegedly pointing a bow and arrow at his mother later tried to set himself on fire while in a police car.
Police say 20-year-old Samuel Pittman Miller was arrested Tuesday night for aggravated assault and reckless burning.
An arrest report says Miller was intoxicated and he threatened his mother with the bow and arrow when she refused to give him her car keys. He was arrested after his younger brother called police.
Police say as Miller was being taken to jail he lit his shirt while in the back seat of the patrol car. The car wasn't damaged and no injuries are reported.
