Memphis, TN - The Suntrust Bank at Highway 64 and Fletcher Trace was robbed Thursday, October 22, 2009. That’s the bank inside the Kroger on the Lakeland/Memphis city line. Employees at the bank say a man walked in with his face painted black and green and wearing a black wig. He had on a white shirt and pajama bottoms.

Witnesses were able to get the man’s tag number on his car as he left after the bank robbery. The man left the bank in a gold colored car with Tennessee tag 774VTR. Deputies found the car a short distance away on Morning Glow.
The man was arrested at 11:50 in the back of Stonebridge Crossing Apartments on Highway 64. Deputies believe he's the robber. The Safe Streets Task Force has been called in to investigate.

Shelby County Sheriff Deputies tell us the fire department was called to the bank for a woman with chest pains, but there were no other injuries. Officials won’t say if any money was taken.
