The following is a news release issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation:Huntingdon, TN- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s case into a Carroll County, TN man is continuing and has resulted in more charges against the suspect involved in an abusive sex operation.
Mark Burns, 48, 5694 Highway 104 West, Lavinia, TN was indicted again today by the Carroll County Grand Jury on two more counts of Aggravated Rape. These charges stem from additional victims who came forward after TBI arrested Burns in January 2009. He was originally charged with 10 counts of Aggravated Statutory Rape, 5 counts of Rape, 4 counts of Aggravated Rape, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, 1 count of Trafficking for Sexual Servitude and 1 count of Evading Arrest. Burns remains in the Henry County Jail on $200,000 bond. He also previously violated his parole on three counts of Attempted Murder.
