ALAMO, Tenn. (AP) -- A suspended Crockett County school bus driver faces arraignment June 8 after a grand jury indicted him in the rape of a teenage girl.
Billy O. Glidwell of Gadsden is charged with aggravated statutory rape, aggravated statutory rape by an authority figure and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The Jackson Sun quoted court documents which stated a 15 year-old girl who rode the bus Glidwell drove said the two had sex in his truck at Davy Crockett Lake in February.
The indictment against the 47 year-old Glidwell was returned on Monday.
Glidwell has been free on bond since March 13. Crockett County School System officials said he is suspended without pay, pending the outcome of the criminal charges.
