SOUTHAVEN, MS – Southaven police say a man shot at another person over the use of a horn at a traffic light.
It happened at the intersection of Rosco Road and Highway 51, Tuesday, June 16, 2009, around 8:52 p.m.
Southaven Police Detective Lieutenant Mark Little says officers were called to the scene about gunfire in the area. When the officers arrived, a witness told them that two cars were at the intersection and one of the drivers shot at the other.
Investigators say they were able to find and speak with the victim. He told police about the incident and let them know which direction the shooter was heading.
Officers found the suspect, 27-year-old Rodricas Clark, and pulled him over. Police say the victim honked his horn at Clark at the intersection. Clark became angry, detectives say, then drove beside the victim’s car and shot at him. According to investigators, the bullet hit the car and no one was hurt.
Police say Clark was arrested for the drive-by shooting and has been charged for numerous traffic charges. He is being held on $29,485 bond.
