LAUDERDALE COUNTY, TN – Investigators are hunting for the person who killed Jonathan Cannon at the Fountain Crest Apartments in Gate, TN. He was murdered on May 1, 2009 and Investigators still have no leads. Investigators say someone forced his or her way inside the apartment, kicked down the door and shot the 29 year-old several times. “I’ve been in law enforcement for over twenty years, and I’ve seen it, but I never thought it would be this close to me,” says Donnell Baltimore, who happens to be a Lieutenant for the Ripley Police Department.

Investigators say solving this murder has become so much of a priority Lauderdale County District Attorney Mike Dunavant has convinced Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen to put up a $10,000 reward for information leading to Cannon’s killer. Cannon’s family tells myEyewitnessNews.com that he was known in the community for his singing. Capturing Cannon’s killer will be music to Baltimore’s ears.

If you have any information that could help investigators solve the murder of Jonathan Cannon, call The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at (800) TBI – FIND (824-3463).
