HERNANDO, MS (AP) A 33-year-old Olive Branch woman has been charged with kidnapping her 3-year-old daughter following a custody hearing.

Ann Sappington is being held on a $50,000 bond in Madison County, Tennessee, while she awaits extradition.  Investigators say Sappington fled with her daughter following the hearing, which she lost in DeSoto County Chancery Court.

The child's father, John Stroud of Millington, Tennessee, reported her missing on Thursday, July 2nd.

Sappington later contacted Stroud and the child's grandfather to arrange for her daughter's return Friday and that led to Sappington's arrest.
