Updated: Marko Jaric of the Memphis Grizzlies, named by Sports Illustrated's website as the player accused of sexual assault in Philadelphia, will not face prosecution.
A woman there says Jaric assaulted her when the Grizzlies were in Philadelphia for a game earlier in March. However, MyEyewitnessNews.com spoke with Philadelphia District Attorney Director of Communications Cathie Abookire. Abookire says the case, "lacks prosecutorial merit".
In legal terms, this usually means prosecutors looked at the case and did not find evidence of a crime. Jaric recently married his girlfriend, a Super Model from Brazil.
Earlier today Sports Illustrated's website, si.com, identified Jaric as the Grizzlies player named by the unnamed accuser.
