TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (AP) -- A woman and her son face first-degree murder charges in the Labor Day shooting death of the woman's preacher husband.
The victim was identified by the Coffee County sheriff as 68-year-old George Kenney Jr. of Manchester.
The Tullahoma News reported Kenney was the minister at Bushy Branch House of Prayer.
A release from Sheriff Steve Graves said 65-year-old Carolyn Lee Kenney and her son, 35-year-old Jonathan Edward Buckner of Tullahoma, are charged.
Graves said his office received a call about someone hit by a car on the Arnold Engineering Development Center property, but deputies found Kenney had been shot when they arrived.
Carolyn Kenney and Buckner are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
