FRAYSER, TN --
Friday, May 29th, 2009, Memphis police busted a methamphetamine lab several blocks from two schools in Frayser. Police say they were tipped off by neighbors.
When police showed up, two people ran from the house. They were caught right away, taken into police custody.
The house is near Watkins and Winston, less than a mile from Frayser High School and Elementary.
Police say they found remnants of a meth lab and that it looked like the people inside were about to make more meth. The house has been quarantined because the chemicals in meth are so dangerous.
“Makes me very nervous, very scared. It's going on right down there?! We need more people to help us out with the crime, that's very dangerous,” said neighbor Sherice Johnson.
“It makes me feel better, they need to be busted or shot,” said neighbor Albert Reese.
