Memphis, TN - The City of Memphis is cleaning up some of the dirtiest parts of the city. Crews will spend the next week and a half mowing grass and cleaning debris from medians and roadways. The areas targeted are Lamar Avenue, Summer Avenue, Jackson Avenue, I-55 to Crump and the I-40 bridge to Midtown.

Those parts of town are being targeted because they are high traffic areas and are gateways in and out of the community. Volunteers interested in joining in on the cleanup can call 901-488-6786.
