MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis police say a teen walking home from school was shot in retaliation after a fight that happened earlier.
It happened in the 3900 block of Ridgemont Road, near New Allen Road in Raleigh, Wednesday, November 18, 2009. According to investigators at the scene, the teenager was walking home from Raleigh Egypt High School when he was shot multiple times. Police say he was taken to The MED in critical condition, where he later died.
Investigators say they believe the shooting stemmed from a fight that happened at the school.
Police say the suspected shooter is another student, younger than 18.
