MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis Police are asking parents to be extra vigilant when the ice cream man drives through your neighborhood.

Investigators say you should be on the lookout for someone who is doing more than just selling sweet treats to your child.

The MPD's warning comes after several children in the 4000-block of Friendly Way in Hickory Hill reported a run-in with an ice cream vendor who asked them sexually explicit questions while they bought their ice cream.  The incident happened on Wednesday, July 1st.

Cops say the truck has decals on it advertising "frosty treats".   Witnesses say the truck may have Tennessee tags 5H10789.

If you've seen that truck or the man who's driving it, you are asked to call the MPD's Sex Crimes Unit at (901)636-3330.
