PEARL, Miss. (AP) -- Authorities in the central Mississippi city of Pearl say they've arrested an Arizona woman after allegedly discovering grenades and several assault rifles in a vehicle she was driving.
Police Lt. Butch Townsend said Wednesday that 37-year-old Christopher Quezada of Phoenix has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal conspiracy.
She was pulled over on Interstate 20 in a Volvo about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Quezada is being held at the Rankin County detention center. Townsend says she has an initial appearance and bond hearing Thursday.
