NASHVILLE, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered Missing Child Alert for two young girls, one who needs emergency medical attention.
According to the TBI, 11-year-old Sierra Nicole Hess and 12-year-old Keara Lasha Hess -- nickname “Diamond” -- are believed to be with their adoptive father Matthew Hess. They were reported to be in a 1993 green Ford Explorer with a North Carolina license plate (YTE8014 or XTC5271).
Authorities say 12-year-old Kera needs emergency medical attention. WSOCTV.com is reporting the girl is 9 months pregnant and is about to give birth. According to the website, the girls’ mother said she found a note from Matthew saying he needed to go to the store and pick up some things. She says he wrote in the note that he was taking the girls with him. Authorities say they have not been heard from since then.
Matthew Charles Hess, 40, is described as a White male standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has green eyes. TBI officials say Matthew has a tattoo of a blue devil on his upper right arm, a tattoo of a heart with a ribbon on his upper left arm and a tattoo of a blue dragon on his left forearm.
Authorities say they are from North Carolina, but may be heading to Tennessee. If anyone has information about the missing girls, call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
