HORN LAKE, MS-- Still on the market.

Elvis Presley's old ranch in Horn Lake has been up for sale now for six months. The 154-acre property sits at the corner of Highway 301 and Goodman Road.

Legend has it that the cross and concrete bridge were Elvis' two favorite things on the property. Since it's gone up for sale, hundreds of people have expressed interest. They'd like to see it.

“I did a visual tour of the property online and I had, as of this week, 2600 views of the Elvis Ranch” says Rodger Motz, an agent with Prudential Realty.

Most people just want walk around on the land where the King of Rock N’Roll rode horses, and stayed with his wife, Priscilla.

“Elvis, after he had his honeymoon, the first night and the second night, they were in the honeymoon cottage here” says Motz.

The publicity is great, but Prudential Realty wants to close a deal.

Just this weekend, Motz met with a potential buyer from Knoxville.

“He's got some Elvis buddies that are interested in it. They’re in the theater business so hopefully he's going to put something together on that.”

Motz says he's also gotten calls from people in California, and as far away as Denmark.

Elvis owned the ranch from 1972 until 1977, the year of his death, but Motz says “The King isn't the only big draw.

“We've got 2,500 foot of road frontage down Highway 301. We've got 2,000 foot of road frontage on Goodman Road” says Motz. “This area is going to develop eventually big-time so it's a valuable piece of property.”

The asking price for the old ranch is $6.5 million.

The family that now owns the old Elvis ranch bought it in 1980.

There have been a few attempts to sell it in the past, including turning the property into a golf and shopping resort. All of those deals fell through.
