JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- A Washington County grand jury has indicted a northeast Tennessee couple, charging them with selling narcotics prescribed for their use.
The Sheriff's office said 82-year-old Buster J. Murray and 65-year-old Mary E. Murray were charged Wednesday with maintaining a dwelling where controlled substances were used and sold.
The Johnson City Press quoted sheriff's investigators saying the Murrays had illegally sold large quantities of hydrocodone and Valium out of their rural Fall Branch home.
Sheriff's Capt. Shawn Judy said the department received a tip after people noticed a lot of vehicles coming and going.
Both suspects were held in jail in lieu of $10,000 bonds.
In April, investigators found ledgers, five loaded guns and $33,000 in cash in the house.
