CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A traffic crash near Chattanooga has killed two people on a motorcycle and critically injured a pickup truck driver.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said Orvil and Patricia Laymon of Spring City died in the crash Sunday evening on state Route 60 when a pickup truck crossed the center line and struck their motorcycle.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported both victims were 68 years old and were riding with other motorcyclists.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said the truck rolled several times and the driver -- a woman whose name was not immediately released -- was taken by helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center with critical injuries.
