MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A capacity crowd of Church of God in Christ members filled the FedExForum Sunday morning. This was the highlight of COGIC’s weeklong Holy Convocation.
It was also a bittersweet moment because after 102 years in Memphis, the COGIC saints will be St. Louis next year. Members say today’s service was special because presiding Bishop Charles Blake addressed the crowd.
Church leaders are still discussing the possibility of future conventions in Memphis.
