MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis police say a teenage girl was gunned down in North Memphis and investigators believe her boyfriend may be the shooter.
It happened in the 3600 block of Macon Road, Thursday, November 19, 2009, around 10:00 p.m. Memphis Police spokesperson Karen Rudolph says the 18-year-old girl had been shot multiple times and was taken in critical condition to the hospital, where she later died.
Initial reports indicated that the girl was pregnant, but Rudolph says investigators were not immediately able to confirm that information.
Detectives say they believe the girl’s 20-year-old boyfriend may be the shooter, however he has not yet been charged in this case and the investigation is ongoing.
