Memphis, TN - Allen Iverson is no longer "The Answer" for the Memphis Grizzlies. On Saturday, November 7, 2009, Iverson asked Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley for permission to leave the team and it was granted.
Iverson voiced his displeasure with his playing time after his season debut in Sacramento, CA on November 2. He was disappointed with the 18 minutes he played in the game.
The Grizzlies say Iverson has left the team to take care of personal matters in Atlanta where his family lives. He met with Heisley after Friday night's loss to the L.A. Lakers and again Saturday morning before taking a flight to Georgia.
His return is undetermined.
