MEMPHIS, TN - Fireworks and bullets lit up the night sky on Beale Street during the 4th of July weekend.
Memphis Police tell myEyewitnessNews.com that just before 1:00 a.m. Sunday, someone opened fire on a large group of people gathered outside The Plush Club at 380 Beale.
Five people, all juveniles, were hit. Three of them were taken to the hospital. An MPD spokesperson says two are in non-critical condition. The third was treated and released.
Investigators believe the other two kids were hit by bullet fragments and had only minor injuries.
There is no description of the accused gunman and police have not released a motive for the shooting.
