MEMPHIS, TN – Shelby County firefighters say a boy was rescued from a pool in Northeast Shelby County.
It happened in the 9400 block of Bolton Estates Road near the cities of Millington and Arlington, Monday afternoon, July 6, 2009.
Brent Perkins with the Shelby County Fire Department says the boy was found in the pool by a relative. According to Perkins, the child’s aunt preformed CPR on the boy and he started breathing before paramedics arrived. Paramedics continued CPR to make sure all of the water was out of his lungs, Perkins said.
Perkins says the 4-year-old was airlifted in good condition to the hospital to avoid any possible traffic delays.
