Man charged with assault after threatening woman's father
MEMPHIS, TN - A Memphis man is charged with assault, after police say his aggressive flirting turned into a threat.

Police say Alford Weatherspoon walked up to a  woman in a grocery store parking lot, and tried to talk to her. When the woman's father told Weatherspoon to leave his daughter alone, police say Weatherspoon pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the man, saying he would kill everyone.

It happened Thursday, July 2, 2009, outside the Kroger on Finley in Whitehaven.

Neither the woman nor her father know Weatherspoon.
