Faucets

While faucets come in a wide variety of styles, finishes and colors, there are only a few different types available for the home. The single lever faucet is compact, but the water temperature and pressure are a bit difficult to control. Dual lever faucets such as, the center-set or widespread-set have individual levers or knobs; one for the hot water and one for the cold. This allows for better control of the temperature and pressure. The bar faucet also has separate knobs for hot and cold water, and in addition, has a highly arched spout. This type of faucet is typically found in the kitchen, but could be appropriate in the bathroom, especially if you use the sink for washing hair. Always select faucets and fittings that are easy to operate and that are durable. The best faucets are made of brass and come in several finishes including chrome, pewter and gold.
