It took no time at all for Devin to warm up to us when we met him for his interview for this Waiting Child report. He's just bursting with personality. Devin quickly described himself as a dependable, fun-loving person who is very neat and tidy as well as concerned and aware of his appearance, "...especially my hair. My hair has to be brushed, straight, everything," he paused and added, "and I have to smell good."
Devin has one of the most positive attitudes you'll ever encounter. He says that he smiles all the time because he knows that he has a lot of blessings; even when he's had a hard day or a disappointment, he finds things to smile about. He prides himself on making other people happy, smile, laugh... and just generally have a good time. "I just like having fun. I love having fun. If there's a dull moment, I have to liven it up. LIke when people are at school and they come to school with frowns, I have to make them smile. I won't feel comfortable with myself until I make them smile."
