A vivacious young man is waiting to meet his forever family. When our cameras first met him, Trevon didn’t quite know what to do, but he quickly loosened up to tell us a bit about himself, “The only thing I eat is like hot stuff. Hot fries and hot chips like hot sauce and stuff.” When asked if he really likes hot sauce on everything, he said yeah, even eggs, “…and my popcorn. It’s good!”
Trevon likes video games, and board games. His teacher Cynthia Locke says he’s a very special student, “Yes, he loves to excel. He likes to receive A’s. If he receives anything other than an A, that does tend to be a little bit of a downer for him.”
Trevon insists on being neat, tidy, and organized. He says he likes to sweep, do laundry, dishes, and that he likes his room to be “picked up.” His teacher even vouches for this little tidbit, “He really does like to clean… he really does,” Ms. Locke promised, “if he has the opportunity to wipe down the tables in the cafeteria he will, or to sweep or to straighten up the bookshelves.”
When asked where he would like to live, Trevon said he’d prefer the country to a city. He likes animals and is intrigued by farm equipment. Trevon says he likes to build things and is interested in not only farming, how equipment works, and animals, but has an interest in learning about wood-working as well.
Trevon is very charming and is loving as well. Like most children, he tends to be just a bit shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for him to open up and show the wonderful light inside. Ms. Locke says he’s a very special warm, loving child and listed some of his strengths, “He has an engaging personality. He loves to be the class clown and tell jokes. Trevon is very athletic, he loves to play sports.”
