MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The Memphis Grizzlies have announced an enhancement to TV game broadcasts to give viewers a feeling of being in the arena.
The team Wednesday announced the launch of the Memphis Grizzlies TV Companion on Grizzlies.com, which team officials described as a first-of-its-kind live game feature.
The application will simulate the experience of being in an NBA arena press box by giving fans access to pregame media notes, real-time statistical information, breaking news, shot charts and play-by-play analysis.
The feature also will allow users to interact with other fans, team personnel and on-air talent by accessing Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Yahoo!
Memphis Grizzlies TV Companion can be accessed by clicking on the top story an hour before tip-off.
