MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Eighteen-year-old Melanie Oudin has entered the 2010 Cellular South Cup in Memphis next February.
Tourney officials said Wednesday that Oudin joins three-time Grand Slam winner Maria Sharapova as the first two entrants in the singles field.
At this year's U.S. Open, Oudin scored a series of upsets to reach the quarterfinals.
Oudin, of Marietta, Ga., is now the No. 3-ranked American.
