MEMPHIS – Add one more Cup superstar to the list of NASCAR Nationwide Series racers on their way to Memphis Motorsports Park this fall.
Matt Kenseth, this year’s Daytona 500 winner and the 2003 Sprint Cup Series champion, will be behind the wheel of the No. 16 for Roush Fenway Racing on Oct. 24.
Hometown hero Ricky Stenhouse Jr., from Olive Branch, Miss., will be here to practice and qualify the No. 16 car for Kenseth, who will be flying in to Memphis on race day from Martinsville and the coinciding Cup race.

So which celebration do you expect to see in victory lane? Can Kenseth do what double-duty drivers have done for the last four seasons at this track and take home the ‘Elvis?’ He’s only been to Memphis once – for the inaugural Busch Series race in 1999 – when he started tenth and finished 21st.
Do you think defending champ Carl Edwards has a shot at repeating his trademark back flip?
Or will Kyle “Rowdy” Busch bash the field and any guitars in site on the way to his first win in Memphis?! He has already grabbed six trophies, smashed one of them, and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
Is he a lock for the Nationwide Series crown? Do you care?! Will you be here to boo him, or put your hands together for a hard-nosed racer who some say has a “softer side.”
Busch and Edwards are still 1-2 in the Nationwide Series points race, and most insiders expect them to be the front runners when they roll into Memphis this fall. But ringers like Kenseth, as well as regulars like Brad Keselowski, Jason Leffler and Kenny Wallace will have something to say about that on the most exciting stand-alone track on the schedule.
