Tennessee’s star-rating program for child care facilities shows what centers are meeting and exceeding state requirements for operation. A zero star rating indicates the center is meeting minimum requirements for operation, and is not a negative score. The rankings go from there to one, two, and three stars, indicating different levels of excellence above minimum standards.
