SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) -- Clarksdale Police Chief Gregory Hoskins has pleaded not guilty to charges related to a June 21 disturbance at two convenience stores in Southaven.
Hoskins entered the plea Wednesday in Southaven Municipal Court. He remains free on a $2,400 bond he paid when he was arrested on two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting arrest.
According to a police department incident report, officers used pepper spray to subdue Hoskins when he allegedly struggled with the arresting officers. The report said Hoskins got involved in an argument with a gas station clerk who called police.
