After School Special

Again the lack of main plot was missing this week but I always enjoy when we get to see the past of the Winchester Brothers. So far this season we have been to the past of the Winchester parents and now the past of the Winchester brothers themselves. Anybody see Dean sporting the Mr. Woodcock look. There’s some ghost hunting and through a serious of flashbacks, we learn a lot about both brothers and their past. All in all, it was a good episode but it lacked the main plot but at least we got to see some of the history of the Winchester brothers. I hope in the coming weeks they get back to the seals being broken.

Rock Reference of the episode: Dean uses the alias "Coach Roth" a reference to David Lee Roth, lead singer of Van Halen.

Pop Culture: Dean tells Sam to “Go have your Robin Williams "Oh Captain! my Captain!" moment. This is a reference to the final scene of the Peter Weir movie Dead Poet's Society, when the beloved teacher played by Robin Williams is sacked, and as a show of support the students stand on their desk reciting "Oh Captain! my Captain!" from the Walt Whitman poem of the same name.

Do you like the flashback episodes as much as I do? Any pop culture references I missed? Leave a comment below. Don't forget to watch Supernatural, each Thursday at 8 p.m. following Smallville on CW30!
