MEMPHIS, TN – Memphis police say two teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery at a daycare.
According to investigators, three armed people entered the Premier Kids Enrichment Center in the 3400 block of Watkins Street, around 3:30 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2009. Police say the suspects ordered the employees to the ground and told them to cover their heads.
The robbers took the victims’ cash and keys before running away from the business.
Memphis police spokesperson Karen Rudolph says investigators received a tip through the Crime Stoppers hotline that led to the arrests of 17-year-old Edward White and 18-year-old Martavious Hoskins. Rudolph says both teens have been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
Investigators say they are still looking for the third suspect and ask if anyone has any information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
