Terrance was born in Chicago, Illinois but shortly after birth, he and his parents moved to Germany. While Terrance claims Chicago as home, he’s spent most of his years in Germany. His parents moved to Germany as part of the Department of Defense school system. Terrance isn’t exactly a military brat, but he did grow up near military installations.

Living in Germany was a great experience for Terrance. He played Soccer on a German club team. He also was able to travel around Europe and befriend people from a variety of nationalities, backgrounds and cultures. As a journalist and a person, those experiences have helped Terrance to be more open to people's differences. It has also helped him to develop the objectivity that good journalists should have.

Terrance is a sports fanatic. He loves football and basketball, especially on the college level. He’s a Maryland Terp, so as you can imagine, the University of Maryland is the team he ALWAYS roots for. He was fortunate enough to attend the University of Maryland campuses in Munich and Augsburg, Germany, before transferring to College Park. He ended up graduating from College Park with two degrees, one in Broadcast Journalism and the other in German. He also minored in French, but hasn't had much opportunity to speak.

Professionally, Terrance’s career has taken him around the country. He started on Election Day of 1996 in Longview, Texas. After 10 months in Longview, Terrance moved to Augusta, Georgia. He spent just over two years in Augusta before moving to WTVR in Richmond, Virginia. Terrence enjoyed Richmond and was there for just over a year when he was given the opportunity to anchor a Midday show in Evansville, Indiana.

Evansville, while the polar opposite of Richmond, was a great experience for Terrance. He really connected with the audience there and really enjoyed being in Evansville. That job led to an opportunity here in Memphis, and HE LOVES IT. Memphis is a great town with a lot of personality and history. He’s excited about what the future has in store for him here.
